Croatian authorities have received EU funds for internal security and border control to monitor movement along the Western Balkans route. Civil society reports and the Croatian National Programme for the EU Internal Security Fund (ISF) indicate the procurement and deployment of technical equipment, software tools and procedures for special, covert and joint cross border investigative measures, including IMSI catchers.
