Schengen Information System Alerts and denial of Visa's

Mohamed Dihani was denied a visa by the Italian consulate in Casablanca due to an unlawful alert in the Schengen Information System (SIS). Italian authorities refused to disclose the reasons for the alert, citing a confidential file. In 2022, the Court of Rome twice ruled in his favour, ordering Italy to issue a visa and declaring the SIS alert completely unlawful.
